Drs Chin, Liu and Patel are passionate about family medicine. We believe in the power of collaboration between doctors, administrative staff, patients, pharmacists, and allied health to optimze quality care in the currently resource strained healthcare system. Respect and consideration for everyone is of the utmost importance for delivery of care.
Dr. Chin is a graduate of the University of Queensland School of Medicine, Brisbane, Australia. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada as well as the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Chin has enjoyed working in diverse clinical settings from an urban centre in Chicago to rural Australia and a Navajo reservation in Arizona. Dr. Chin offers comprehensive family care and has special interests in women's health, pediatric/ newborn care, chronic disease management and minor surgical procedures (IUD insertions, joint injections, skin tag removals, etc). She is a strong believer in preventative health, including routine recommended immunizations (i.e. childhood vaccines) and age appropriate screening. She also works at Public Health.
Dr. Liu received her Medical Degree from McMaster University, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto. She went into Family Medicine for the love of getting to know each and every one of her patients and building a long-term relationship with them. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, swimming and cycling.
Dr. Patel completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto and her Family Medicine residency at the Credit Valley Hospital. Prior to medicine she had worked in healthcare consulting with eHealth Ontario and doing quality improvement within hospitals. She worked at the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation as a masters student in clinical engineering, doing usability testing of devices and electronic health records. She believes strongly in teams and multidisciplinary care. Her interests include mental health, quality improvement, patient education and health information technology. She also enjoys drawing, painting, gardening, and playing piano.
