Dear Patients,
As we enter respiratory illness season, we encourage everyone to stay up to date on their vaccinations to help protect themselves and their loved ones.
1. Influenza (Flu) Vaccines
Free flu vaccines are currently available to the general public aged six months and older at our office, participating pharmacies, and some public health units.
We have both regular-dose and high-dose flu vaccines available. Please call our office to book an appointment or book online using the link below:
Online booking: https://app.avaros.ca/av/weblink/glen
If you already have an upcoming appointment with us, we can administer your flu vaccine during that visit. We are prioritizing children under five years of age, as pharmacists cannot administer flu vaccines to this age group, as well as adults aged 65 and older.
For more information about flu vaccination, please visit Ontario.ca/flu.
2. Updated COVID-19 Vaccines
Ontario has received shipments of the updated COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination this fall is strongly recommended for individuals at higher risk of severe illness and essential service workers.
Please contact your local pharmacy to arrange your vaccination, as our office is unable to store the COVID-19 vaccine.
3. RSV Immunization for Infants and Pregnant Women
Infants up to eight months of age: Eligible infants may receive Beyfortus (nirsevimab) for protection against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
Pregnant women: The Abrysvo RSV vaccine is available for eligible pregnant women between 32 and 36 weeks of gestation to help protect their newborns.
Please contact our office to book an appointment or discuss eligibility.
4. RSV Vaccines for Seniors
We have RSV vaccines available for seniors aged 75 and older. Current data indicate that protection from RSV vaccination lasts for at least five years.
If you are 75 or older and have not yet received an RSV vaccine, please contact our office to book an appointment.
5. What to Do If You Develop Respiratory Symptoms
If you experience respiratory symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, chest tightness, or wheezing, and feel that you need medical attention, please consider the following options:
Our office: Call to arrange an appointment.
After-hours clinics: Visit for urgent medical concerns outside regular office hours.
Pediatric Urgent Care: For children and youth aged six months to 17 years, visit www.pediatricurgentcare.ca.
If you experience severe difficulty breathing or other life-threatening symptoms, seek emergency medical attention.
Thank you for doing your part to protect yourself, your family, and our community during respiratory illness season. Staying up to date on recommended vaccinations can help reduce the risk of severe illness and unnecessary hospital visits.
Warm regards,
Dr. Chin, Dr. Liu, and Dr. Patel

Message to Patients Looking for a Family Doctor:
We are very busy transitioning to our temporary clinic at Dunwin. We expect to start calling and booking new patients in July 2024, after the move to our permanent office (same main entrance, Dr. Kim Leveille’s office to the right).
You can call to be placed on the wait list if you have not already done so. Patients will be booked on a first signed up, first serve basis. We will gradually accept new patients as our capacity allows and cannot guarantee a time frame for you to be accepted in the practice. If you have not heard from us by November 2024, you can call to see where you are on the list.
We understand the difficulty in looking for a new doctor. We must ensure we have the capacity to care for whoever we agree to take on and this will take time. If you are able to locate a family doctor prior to hearing from our office, kindly call our staff to inform them to remove your name from our wait-list. We thank you for your patience.
You can also go on this Link to find a new doctor.
Our official move date is May 13, 2024. All appointments and records of current patients will be transferred automatically.
